Second Life

Thursday, April 13th, 2006

I discovered Second Life last year and have logged on to it a total of 5 times.  Does anyone else have an account?  I just heard the people of This Week in Tech talking about it and it spurred me to check it out again.  It could be really fun.

For those who didn’t click the link, Second Life is a virtual world.  Think of a free Sims online.  You create your character, build, meet people, play games, get a job, buy stuff… the list goes on forever.
If anyone else has an account, when do you usually go on and where do you go?

Sexual Healing Eve

Saturday, April 1st, 2006

In celebration of a mastermind’s birthday me and many others will be throwing him a birthday party. My friend, Eric, started this a few years ago. Every year on the weekend of Marvin Gaye’s birthday (April 2nd). He finds a way to celebrate it. This year, he put together a group tour of the Motown Museum, followed by dinner, then 5th Avenue and finally having cake after midnight.

Gaye wasn’t just a motown singer that had two very sexual songs (’Lets Get it On’ and ‘Sexual Healing’). He was a revolutionary artist in the music industry and broke the mold Barry Gordy so strongly stood by.

So here’s your homework assignment for the weekend: do a little reading on the man.
