Quick

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

A quick update on life before I get back to studying.

  • In 29 hours the semester is over.  But that leaves me only 27 more hours to study for that last final.
  • Project “Heaven” is getting closer and closer to done.  Well not done, but done to where it will be public.
  • Ctrl+Alt+Chicken is awesome.
  • The Tigers rock my socks off.

From 30 Boxes to Google Calendar

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

A while ago I talked about using 30Boxes.com for my public calendar.  Now Google has finally released their calendar web app.  I find it to be a great tool.  If all my friends had one, it would be even cooler.  If you want access to my calendars and reveive notifications of cool events (like the upcoming Tone and Niche show) sign up.

Do it.

The Weekend

Sunday, April 23rd, 2006

Had a nice weekend. On Friday, I did NOT go to McGee’s. Instead, I went to Adam’s cousin, Kate’s party. I hadn’t been to a party like that in some time.

Tonight I watched Memoirs of a Geisha. It was amazing. I strongly suggest everyone to rent it.

Memoirs of a Geisha (Widescreen 2-Disc Special Edition)

Now for a full Sunday of schoolwork.  Just 9 more days.

Movement 06

Saturday, April 15th, 2006

I havent been into much techno for the past so many years, but I’m always half drawn to the DEMF/Movement each year.  If it weren’t for getting free passes last year, I would have skipped it entirely.  There was just a press release yesterday with some of the lineup.  This just may be the year.

Three artists I’ve actually heard of outside of Detroit will be there:

  1. Josh Wink — Pretty cool
  2. Photek — even better
  3. Orb — holy crap!

I really want to go see Orb.  NO word on if there will be an admission this year.  Lets hope not.

Here is the Press Release in full:
