Detroit Blog Community

Sunday, December 4th, 2005

After reading DetroitWonk’s entry about the “Life in the D” logo, I decided to make a “Detroit Blog” button for fellow bloggers of the Detroit Area to stamp their site with. So go ahead and add the button somewhere on your blog. Then list your site here for others to find.

Sunday, December 4th, 2005

I’ve noticed a lot of traffic to the site looking for the clip of Brian Griffin doing the “Peanut Butter Jelly Time” dance.
Here’s a link. Enjoy.

Wish List

Saturday, December 3rd, 2005

A few days ago I asked in a post if anyone knew of a good wishlist site. Well I found one. MetaWishList.com is a really neat web app. Its like the Amazon.com wishlist, but its not restricted to only one site. If you have an Amazon list, metawishlist can import it. For Firefox users, theres an extention to easily add items, or you can use a bookmarklet. Your list also has an RSS feed, so you can add it to your mom’s news reader for constant updates to your list.

World AIDS Day

Friday, December 2nd, 2005

Today (December 1st) was world AIDS day. I just want to do my part in getting the word out: be safe. Know your partner.

That said, I was shown this website: Light To Unite. You watch a flash movie, add a pushpin on the map and share a story if you’d like. For every person who does this, Bristol-Myers Squibb will donate one dollar towards AIDS/HIV research.

Do your part and spread the word.
