Oh the Holidays
Well alright. The holidays are winding down and my internet connection is back. Its been a rough couple of days without it.
I think it has been a week since my last update and there is so much to say. I’ll just have a quick little recap…
Wednesday was the book signing at the Rowland Cafe. I posted some pictures on the site. After the signing we spent the rest of the day downtown, going from builing to building. We ended at Hella’s in Greektown for some dinner. We (Lauren, Lisa and I) were there from 11 - 7. Pedestrian traffic is starting to pick up and I love it.
Thursday Tommy from McGee’s had his first show at TNT’s and was great. The bar fight that preceeded it wasn’t so great (for the fact that we knew the people who started it). Check out the band on myspace http://www.myspace.com/refueled.
Friday was Christmas Eve Eve and spent at McGees (if you haven’t realized yet, McGee’s is like my Cheers. I think I hugged, kissed and wished a merry Christmas to more people there than at my own family gatherings).
Christmas Eve was spent at my Aunt’s, then I visited Lauren at her Great AuntDelores’ for a bit and we both visited my Great Aunt Kate (who happens to be Delores’ best friend by pure coincidence). We went to midnight service with Lauren’s sisters and exchanged gifts. I got Lauren Burberry Brit, a sweater hoodie, season 1 of The Muppet Show and a teapot with tea leaves. Lauren got me the one thing I thought I would never get, a black Ipod Nano!
Christmas Day I spent at Lauren’s house for dinner, then we visited Shaun, Star and baby Kyra at their new home. Kyra is growing so fast. We bought her a stffed Roo from Winnie the Pooh and two sleepers from the Disney store.
I got plenty of other great gifts, but I’m not going to list them all. I was able to, however cross a lot of things off my wishlist.
All my grades are in and I kicked butt. Circuits B, DigiLogic A-, Music History A, my two labs A and A. Semester GPA of 3.68 and a cumulative of 3.15. I am finally getting in a range I accept.
If you havent been to my site in a month, I have beeen working on it. Only half of it is finished but I have all break to work on it. New pictures are up and I even have a calendar that syncs with my pda. Right now, you’ll see that I will be at 5th Avenue tonight and Brians on Friday and Dylans for New Year’s Eve. I try to add all my dates in the calendar. When school starts up, my classes will be added.
So much more has happened, but I know how people hate when I write novels.
