My New Job?
Thursday, June 9th, 2005Alright, I think I got my caffiene intake under control. I had one coffee this morning, a Coke for lunch and I just started on this bottle of Pepsi.

Work is quite boring thus far, but I’m sure it won’t stay this way. For the most, all I’ve done is read about 15 RDDs (Requirement Definition Documents) for the electronics my dept is working on. These RDDs are anywhere from 50-350 pages long. I’ve also been doing some mandatory safety training sessions online. Think of the safety crash courses you get when you take a science class lab. Now think of taking 20 of them with quizes at the end. Fun, Eh?
A bit more fun was the Safe Work for Vehicle Entry training. At least with that one I’ll get a badge to allow me to ride in the vehicles.
Oh, did I mention I get every other Friday off? Yeah, I work 9 hours Mon-Thurs and 8 Fridays (ones I work, that is).
Alright, I have 3 more hours and I’m only half way through this 150 page document. Even if I finish it, there’s still another 10 to go.
