A Few Things to Cover
First off. When you only pay $4 for a fogless mirror, they’re only fogless while the shower is off.
I finally watched I Heart Huckabees the other night with Lauren. I didn’t think I was going to like it, but I really did. Clearly, its a hit-or-miss movie. You’ll love it or hate it. If you have a couple bucks and some free time, I suggest renting it.

Also, coming out this Tuesday is Beyond the Sea, A biopic on Bobby Darrin. Kevin Spacey plays Bobby Darrin (singer/songwriter of songs like “Mack the Knife” and “Splish Splash”) and shows off his amazing voice as he sings all the songs in the movie. I plan to watch it this weekend, putting my final days at Hollywood Video to use. I did hear a few songs by Spacey on WDET’s The Listening Room and was awed. If anyone is interested in watching it with me, give me a call.

I’ve been on a music rampage lately.
New Order - Waiting for the Sirens’ Call is amazing. Every song on the album have a great feel to it. New Order kept all the things we liked about 80’s post-punk music era and left all the rest back in the past.
Dirty Vegas - One is the followup album to his self-titled that featured Days Go By (a.k.a the song in the car commercial with the crazy girl dancing.) Its a great album for those who just spent last weekend downtown at the Detroit Fuse-In and are looking for some feel good dance music. Its not a hard album, nor is it too light and poppy. A perfect blend.
Royksopp - Understanding, the followup to Melody A.M. has doubled the strings and made its downtempo feel a bit lower. I’m still enjoying it and if you haven’t heard of them before I suggest picking up Melody A.M.
